Tobacco destroyed in break in

Tobacco valued at $20,000 was destroyed by individuals who broke into two tobacco kilns earlier this week.

Norfolk OPP responded to 1st Concession Road in the Courtland area on Wednesday morning.

The culprits turned off the main breaker and bypass alarms destroying about $20,000 in harvested crop, said police.

Items stolen, construction site damaged

Tools and copper valued at $7,000 were stolen from a construction site in Delhi.

Norfolk OPP say the theft occurred in the early morning hours Thursday at a storage container at the site on Argyle Avenue.

A Top Can sewer pipe laser and copper piping were stolen.

The culprits also damaged a window on a piece of heavy machinery and poured oil over the floor.

Police are asking people living in the area with video surveillance cameras to check their footage to see if they captured any suspects. Norfolk OPP can be reached at 1-888-310-1122.
